Incentives

Hi,

If I were to offer you an incentive that did not involve giving time off; or spending money, what kind of incentive would you request?  I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks!
Mary

NL Administration could provide coverage for programs, the desk, etc. for all or part of a day. Subs are great and we so appreciate them, but they are limited in what they can do.

What about a personalized "Thank You" note? Just something to acknowledge our efforts.

Half Price Books offers Educator Discount Card to us. Could NL Administration ask Blue Willow, Murder by the Book and other local book store owners for something similar?

At a work-study job in college, we had a mini-fridge stocked with soda, juice, candy bars, gummies, etc. When someone gave exceptional customer service, they were able to get snacks. They were named "Caller of the Week" (COW) and had a ceramic/plastic cow placed on their desk to indicate their status. Also, if a patron comments on a good experience with a staff member, management could acknowledge it. Simple verbal recognition goes a loooong way. When a worker knows that you "see" them and genuinely appreciate their contribution, they revel in that.
