By now everyone must have seen the email from Ophelia Cespedes about Employee Performance Evaluation for 2012. I wanted to remind everyone that we do have EPE plans under the Resources tab of the NL blog.
The EPE plan dates for non supervisory EPE are: April 1st, 2012 - March 31st, 2013.
Supervisory EPE plan dates are: 5/1/12-4/30/13.
Please do not hesitate to contact your Team Leader/Coordinator if you have any question. You may also comment on this post to ask your question.
Thanks,
Shammi
Update on Employee Performance Evaluations for 2012
The current performance management process has been on hold pending review by an City- Wide EPE task force per the Meet and Confer Agreement between HOPE and the City administration. Recently, the task force forwarded a recommendation to the Mayor for consideration, however, a new EPE process will not be in place until 2013. For this reason, Employee Performance Evaluations (EPE) will not be required for the current 2012 EPE cycle.
In preparation for the new performance management process, employees must receive an EPE plan by the end of May. For HPL employees, the EPE plan deadlines are as follows:
Supervisor EPE plans must be reviewed with the employee, signed and received in HR no later than, Friday, April 27th
Non-supervisor EPE plans must be reviewed with the employee, signed and received in HR no later than, Friday, May 25th.
The final EPE plan must be submitted as a Word document. Currently, Performance Impact is available and can be used to create or modify a plan but it is not required.
Please submit a yellow copy original and white copy to HPL-HR office by the deadline.
If you need to reassign employees to another supervisor, follow these steps:
Step 1: On the Performance Impact Home screen select an employee to be reassigned and then click on the Employee Overview function.
Step 2: On the Employee Overview screen, click on Edit Employee Information.
Step 3: On the Employee Information screen, click on the Change button to the right of the “Assigned To User ID" box.
Step 4: On the Reassign Employee screen, click the down-arrow in the Choose User box, scroll down to the name of the person who is to be the new "Assigned To:" user and click on their name.
Step 5: Verify that for "Transfer of items to new 'Assigned To:' user that Reviews, Goals/Job Duties and Log Events are all selected and click “Done”

I am a little confused. If we are to print them out and let them sign it, how do we then turn it in as a Word document? Do you want us to scan each page back in after the signature and create a word document from the scanned pages?
I think that the Word document part only refers to how you save it. Instead of printing from Performance Impact, create the document in Word (using the templates on the Resources Page of the NL Blog) and save it as a Word document.
Thanks, Laurie
choice.net is an Internet service provider website. I was finally able to stumble into out site which is choice.cityofhouston.net.
