Hello,
Due to a complete electrical shutdown of the Central Library and JIB December 22-25, all of Houston Public Library will be closed during this time. The server will be shut down and all computer, email, and phone service will also be down.
Staff who were originally scheduled to work Saturday December 22nd will have to adjust their schedules (with their supervisors) to ensure that they work their hours for the pay period. This may include taking a vacation or personal day in lieu of the planned day off from working Saturday.
During this period, the entire webpage and catalog will also be down.
More information will be available from Communications shortly and Virtual Services is working on adding information to the webpage for customers.
